Kellyanne Conway, the former adviser of Donald Trump, and her husband George Conway recently announced that they were almost at the finishing lines of an amicable divorce.
The statement from the soon-to-be ex-couple mentioned that they were quite appreciative of the many friends, family members, and colleagues who knew them, cared for them, as well as supported them during the trying times. The couple also maintained that were still united in the form of parents to their children, who they would always shower with love, comfort, joy, and protection.
The fraught relationship of this couple came under the limelight when George Conway was quite public in his criticism of the Trump administration while his wife was advising the former President. According to the statement, the couple had been married for more than a couple of decades. The New York Post managed to get hold of this situation first.
Kellyanne Conway Will Be Divorcing George Conway
It was George Conway, a lawyer who had been in place for multiple Justice department positions in the administration of Donald Trump, who had encouraged Kellyanne Conway to take up the job of managing the presidential campaign of the former President when Trump was a candidate in 2016. She later went on to become the first female campaign manager that ever won the presidential race.
In her CNN interview in 2022, Conway also spoke about how she and her husband had taken up the decision to move together with their children to Washington so that Kellyanne could work for Donald Trump. But when they reached the city, George had changed his mind about Donald Trump.
Soon, George Conway also joined the Lincoln Project- which was made up anti-Trump Republicans- and was also one of the harshest critics of the former President, which also managed to drive a very public wedge into his and Kellyanne Conway’s marriage.
