Christine Baumgartner, the estranged wife of Kevin Costner, was apparently not happy with the actor’s work schedule before she filed for divorce. The divorce filing took place in the previous week. A source in close proximity to the Costner family alleged that Christine wants the pair to spend time with the family at their home in Santa Barbara. This was reported by People on May 8th in the middle of their split.
Kevin Costner Allegedly Far Too Workaholic
According to the source, while there is filming going on, Kevin Costner is very seldom around. As such, Baumgartner has found it difficult in his absence. Nevertheless, Kevin Costner apparently knew about his wife’s unhappiness and the reason behind it.
However, according to the source, the actor’s obsession with producing, directing, and starring in “Horizon”, his latest film, remained. The filming took place between August and November 2022 in the southern part of Utah.
Another entertainment industry source alleged that the career of Kevin Costner has, at times, been his priority rather than his life at home. The source explained that Kevin Costner did not go home sufficiently enough for quite a while because of filming, Yellowstone’s popularity as well as the time demanded by other projects. The insider also claimed that Costner, the actor of “Bodyguard”, excitement and success over the latest project possibly took away more of his attention from his home than the actor realized. In conclusion, the home tension probably arose because the situation did not seem like changing any time soon.
