LeBron James said that he despised the inventor of the play-ins in the NBA. On Wednesday, however, his side’s victory in the Lakers v Warriors match ensured that their season continued. The match was an intense thriller that ended 103-100 in the favor of Los Angeles.

The Lakers v Warriors was Game 4 of the play-ins. The victory means that the Lakers’ injury-riddled and the turbulent season does not end in the regular period. Next up for the Lakers will be the Phoenix Suns, the number two team in the West.

LeBron James has only appeared for 4 games among the previous thirty games in the regular period. However, he netted 22 points, 10 assists, and 11 rebounds. He also beat the buzzer that won the Lakers the game with a final 3 pointer.

Frank Vogel, the coach of the Lakers, admitted that the player was not at his best before the Lakers v Warriors game. Apart from the ankle issue that is lingering, James also seemed to suffer an eye injury after an altercation with Draymond Green. James said that he saw three rims and took a shot at the one in the middle.

Alex Caruso was the silent MVP for Los Angeles. He valiantly kept up the defense against Stephen Curry and kept him from getting as little space as possible. Curry still netted 37 points in the Lakers v Warriors game, but he definitely could have scored more.

In the starting half, Golden State managed to get in front by 13 points. Before halftime, Dennis Schroeder, James, and Anthony Davis could only score 4 points in reply to the  Warriors’ 28. The quarter following that, the Lakers rose up. They took just four minutes to reduce the gap to one point. The final quarter was the only quarter that ended with the Lakers in front.
