Manchester United is off to a flyer, however, the new coach Erik Ten Hag refrained from getting carried away after the red devils dominated Liverpool to cruise to a 4-0 victory.

Manchester United made a strong start in the match and was ahead by 3-0 already at half-time. The goal scorers were Jadon Sancho, Fred, and Anthony Martial. However, the red devils missed the services of their talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo as he had family engagements.

Both Ten Hag and Klopp made changes in their lineups throughout the match to get the best combination of players on the pitch. The substitutions enforced by Klopp seemed to be more effective as Liverpool looked to take control. However, the momentum was broken by Facundo Pellistri as he scored the fourth goal for Manchester United with less than fifteen minutes to go for the final whistle.

Ten Hag Was Satisfied With Manchester United’s Performance

“I am satisfied today,” stated Ten Hag, who has taken up the responsibility of managing Manchester United just a couple of months back.

“It was a team with a great spirit and we know we are just getting started.

“We made some mistakes in the press, we conceded some chances, but we created a lot.”

Liverpool had their chances but would consider themselves fairly unlucky after they were denied by the post thrice. Jaden Sancho drew first blood in the 12th minutes after he opened the scoring to put United 1-0 up early on in the game.

Fred came to the party at the half hour mark after chipping the ball over the head of an advancing Alisson to go 2-0 up.

Martial made it 3-0 to make the lead 3-0 just before halftime to ensure a dominant performance from United.
