Stimulus Checks were proposed by lawmaker Mike Thompson. He expressed his concerns about the rising prices of gas.
This was happening due to the disastrous war going on between Russia and Ukraine. He proposed the bill a few months ago.
The bill stated that the government must provide a sum of $100 to all the taxpayers.
A stimulus check worth $100 would be given only to those who earned less than $75000 per year.
The number of joint filers was estimated at $150000. Unfortunately, the bill has been stalled as of now. There is no news about when the bill will be sanctioned.
