Stimulus Check has turned out to be a lifesaver for most of the Americans. The checks provided took the financial load off the shoulders of families. The administration of Joe Biden issued a total of three checks. The last check amounted to $1400 and was the last of the lot. Since then, the citizens of America have been demanding a new check. After the initiation of several popular requests, the federal government did not seem interested in providing any further assistance.

This made the people very much concerned about their future. America has witnessed a huge surge in the covid cases recently. They have recorded an alarming rate of infections. This has instilled a sense of fear in the minds of the people. They are fearing another shutdown. Thus, the citizens are desperate to receive more money. Sanctioning more finance seems impossible from a federal point of view.

The economy also took a massive hit because of the shutdown. All the economic activities were forced to be postponed. This resulted in many people losing their jobs. The ones working from home did not get paid sufficiently. Recent news of stimulus checks for gas assistance was teased. Let us learn more about the same in detail below.

Stimulus Check: Gas Assistance Not Happening

Stimulus Checks were proposed by lawmaker Mike Thompson. He expressed his concerns about the rising prices of gas.

This was happening due to the disastrous war going on between Russia and Ukraine. He proposed the bill a few months ago.

The bill stated that the government must provide a sum of $100 to all the taxpayers.

A stimulus check worth $100 would be given only to those who earned less than $75000 per year.

The number of joint filers was estimated at $150000. Unfortunately, the bill has been stalled as of now. There is no news about when the bill will be sanctioned.
