The producers of Manifest have announced that the much-anticipated final installments of the fourth season of the series on Netflix will be released on April 7. The final episodes of the science fiction thriller featuring Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas as relatives striving to solve the mystery of the plane they boarded as passengers years ago will run on June 2.
The announcement date and the airing date for the final episodes have unique significance for the series. Manifest, created by Jeff Rake, follows the passengers and crew of Flight 828 as they land five and a half years after the aircraft went awol.
Netflix Announces Manifest Season 4
The airplane in the series took off on April 7, 2013, carrying an aggregate of 191 passengers and crew. On November 4, 2018, the airplane suffered turbulence in the air and landed in New York.
When the passengers return, they realize they have received the rare ability to get ‘Callings’ of events before they occur, allowing them to assist individuals in potentially harmful situations. Siblings Ben Stone (Josh Dallas) and Michaela Stone (Melissa Roxburgh), the passengers on that tragic aircraft, find out the passengers’ ‘death date’ to be June 2, the day of the last episode’s broadcast.
The travelers and their relatives and close companions were struggling with the impending death date in Season 4 Volume 1 of Manifest. Cal Stone (Ty Doran) was revealed to be the sole hope for preventing the end of the planet. Angelina (Holly Taylor) absorbed the abilities of an Omega Sapphire shard, which may have given her the capacity to manifest Callings on her own. The mystery surrounding the Callings, the time leap, the aircraft turbulence, Cal’s aging, and the death date will be explained in the final episodes of Season 4’s Volume 2.
