Micheál Martin, the Prime Minister of Ireland is commonly called the Taoiseach, was tested Covid-19 positive this Wednesday. Micheál Martin went to a gala where Joe Biden, the President of America was also present in Washington, DC. 

Micheál Martin Attended The Same Gala With Joe Biden

The Future Funds gatherings were immediately abandoned by Micheál Martin after he got his results and confirmation came that he was positive for Covid-19. A source told CNN that the Ambassador of Ireland gave the information to Daniel Mulhall of the U.S. about the condition of his Prime Minister. 

As per the White House’s members, Joe Biden did not come close to Micheál Martin at all in the meeting and he is not a suspect. Micheál Martin and Biden were supposed to have a bilateral meeting in the White House this Thursday which would be rescheduled considering the present medical condition of the Prime Minister. 

A Recent photo went viral where Micheál Martin was seen sitting beside Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House at the gala. However, no official comment came from her office to CNN. Joe Biden was present at the event for just half an hour and later on in the entire event, he was not spotted closely associating with Micheál Martin.

Joe Biden spent some 15 mins passing some remarks and he maintained a distance from the audience and guests who were sitting in the auditorium. Later on, he left for some unfinished business in the White House. Martin came to be known as the Taoiseach in June 2020. He was supposed to have a meeting on St. Patrick’s Day in the White House and in the previous year, this same meeting happened digitally due to the pandemic. Biden addressed him by saying that he met Martin when he was the Foreign Minister and Biden was serving as the Vice President of the U.S. and both of them came a long way.
