Mike Pence, former Vice President of the USA, has announced his candidacy for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election. In an unexpected turn of events, Mike Pence is running against former President Donald Trump. It was during Trump’s presidency, Pence had served as his Vice President. According to Pence as he addressed his stances against Trump, he stated that different time demands for different headship.
Mike Pence had also commented on Trump in an event in Iowa, where he stated that he had observed changes in the stances of President Trump from January 6, which made him realize that Trump is not suitable to become president again. Pence also spoke of his take on contention like religious liberty, the federal government, and abortion rights.
In his speech in Des Moines, Iowa, Mike Pence spoke of his vision of governance under his leadership. He said that he knows what can bring back the nation, with greater defense and more secured borders. He further spoke on reviving the American economy and putting the US back on a balanced budget.
Mike Pence Seeks Change In Leadership Both In The Republican Party & White House
Mike Spence in his speech in Iowa, stated how American liberties can be defended and the nation can be given a new start. However, there must be a change in the leadership not only at the White House but also in the Republican Party itself. This statement suggests Pence’s strong opposition against Trump who too has declared his candidacy for the 2024 Presidential Election among others. Pence’s stances are evident as he clearly shows his disfavor of Trump after the January 6 Capitol Hill riot in 2021. Mike Pence has also pointed out the lack of leadership in the Biden administration which he aims to bring a change in.
