Miley Cyrus is back in the music game, and she’s celebrating her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth’s birthday with some new music. “He’s gonna die,” she told Entertainment Tonight of how the Australian actor, who turns 30 on May 13th, will react to his upcoming birthday present. “Well, I guess he can still hear it but he’s not gonna have it for a while. It was supposed to come out today but they put it off because they knew I was gonna be here today. So everyone gets to know a little bit more about me through this song… It feels really good!”
“I am releasing a new song on Liam Hemsworth’s birthday,” Cyrus tweeted Tuesday morning. “It’s called ‘Day.'”
The track will be available for streaming on Monday, October 6 at 12:01 a.m. EST—and the timing of its release is no coincidence.
“The next day (after I wrote it), I played it for him,” she told Entertainment Tonight in August 2018. “And he sat there and cried.”
