You must make a claim for any Stimulus Check you owe when you file your taxes the following year.

The enhanced child tax credit allows families to receive up to $3,600 per child or up to $1,800 per child if they choose monthly payments in 2021The cutoff date for users of the IRS Free File tool was November 17. For those whose lesser incomes often exempt them from filing taxes, the Free File tool was created.

Remember that each spouse must sign into their account or read their letter to receive their share of the payout if they filed jointly and are married.
