During the All-star interview session, Nikola Jokic, the consecutive two times MVP winner of the Nuggets was growing a little punchy. When a reporter asked him if he wants to win the MVP to complete his 3 peat this year, he replied assertively.

The reporter then asked why does he want to get the award again? Jokic then said that he said no to that question the last time they were here. Therefore, he wanted to change things up a little bit.

However, it was evident that Nikola Jokic, the star of Denver Nuggets is least bothered by the fact that he can become the fourth NBA player to get three consecutive MVPs. However, if that happens, he will join the list with legends like Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlin, and Larry Bird.

Nikola Jokic has already won two MVPs in last two seasons despite losing in the second round of playoffs in 2021 and in the first-rounds of it last year against the Warriors.

Can Nikola Jokic Win 3Peat Of MVPs In NBA?

While the MVP is a award given in the regular season, the reputations of the player automatically increases in the post season.

However, Nikola Jokic wasn’t hesitant to say that he don’t care about that individual award and he would trade his chances for a 3peat MVP for a chance for his club to win their first championship.

He said that if one win something together with the club that everybody is dying to win, anyone will trade any personal awards to achieve their ultimate goal with the team. Even though Nikola Jokic is not excited about his chances to win the 3peat of MVPs, he might become the player who will finally break the streak of 8 previous players who won two MVPs back to back but never a third.
