Despite not having signed with any NFL team this year, Odell Beckham Jr. attended Thursday night’s season opener between his previous team, the Rams, and the Bills.
The wide receiver traveled to Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium to participate in the Rams’ Super Bowl celebration after winning the championship in February. Former Rams lineman Andrew Whitworth introduced the team’s celebration and the Lombardi Trophy presentation. The team surrounded Odell Beckham Jr. as he lifted the prize.
Odell Beckham Jr. wore a blue cap, blue shoes, and yellow slacks to the ceremony, but he wasn’t sporting any special Rams apparel.
The 29-year-old hasn’t recently disclosed any details about his plans for the NFL. He sustained an ACL tear at the Super Bowl and is currently healing from it. Although there are still whispers about the receiver’s potential destinations, he is still an unsigned free agent.
Odell Beckham Jr. Hoists Lombardi Trophy At Bills-Rams:
The most recent rumor coincidentally concerns the Bills, the Rams’ opponent, on Thursday night. Brandon Beane, the general manager of Buffalo, said to reporters last week that he would be open to Beckham Jr. signing a contract.
This occurs when Von Miller, a former Rams linebacker now a Bills linebacker, tries to lure his old teammate to Buffalo.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Odell Beckham Jr. won’t likely make a comeback until close to Thanksgiving, according to Keyshawn, JWill, and Max on ESPN Radio.
Odell Beckham Jr. will be at the season-opening on Thursday is also pretty intriguing, given the Bills had shown interest in the seasoned receiver this summer.
After the Rams won the Super Bowl, Von Miller signed a six-year, $120 million contract with the Bills. He believes Beckham will follow him to Buffalo.
Just two days ago, Beckham “half” joked on Twitter that he would sign with the team that triumphs on Thursday night.
