This week sees the arrival of the last batch of June SSDI payments. People who have been getting SSDI since 1997 May and those whose birthdays occur between the 1st and 20th have already received three more rounds of payments this month.

Your birth year and when you initially began receiving Social Security DI benefits will determine when you get your money. Unless you have been receiving SSDI checks for several decades, remember that SSDI payments follow a schedule that is quite similar to acquiring Social Security benefits. Below, we’ll explain.

Schedule for Social Security DI payments if you have been receiving them since around 1997 or earlier, your checks should come around the 3rd day if you have received SSDI benefits from 1997 May or earlier. However, there are several exceptions. You will get your payment on the next business day if the 3rd day of a month occurs on a holiday or a weekend. For instance, because June 3 was a Saturday, recipients got their payouts on June 2, a Friday.

Everyone Else’s SSDI Payout Schedule Is Determined By Their Birthday

SSDI payments are made according to the same timetable as Social Security payments for people who haven’t received benefits since 1996 or before. This is how it goes:

  • Your payment would be paid out around the 2nd Wednesday of a month if you have a birthday between the first and tenth of the particular month.
  • Your checks would be paid out around the 3rd Wednesday of a month if you have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of the particular month.
  • Your checks would be paid out around the 4th Wednesday of a month if you have a birthday between the 20th and the 31st.
