Pramila Jayapal Is In Support Of Build Back Better
Pramila Jayapal explained that the action plan for the bill will be released soon. The foundation is set and with minor details ironed out. It plans to protect family healthcare, lower costs, and deal with climate change.
Last Sunday, Senator Joe Manchin, a West Virginia Democrat, openly rejected the President’s Bill. The Senate was split in half and Joe Manchin’s decision stopped the Build Back Better Bill.
The Senator has expressed his worries about the extension of child tax payments monthly and the plans to deal with the climate emergency. On Sunday, Senator Cardin was interviewed about the rumors of Joe Manchin moving to the Republican Party. Mitch McConnell, head of Senate minorities, did voice his hopes of Manchin changing parties. Senator Joe Manchin hoped that there would be a place for the senator in the Democratic Party.
If Manchin does switch sides the Senate will be in the Grand Old Party’s hands. The Republicans are standing united against the Build Back Better bill. Schumer has informed that another round of voting will take place in early 2020. The talks between President Joe Biden and Senator Joe Manchin continue.
