The US Open which just started this week on June 15 at the Los Angeles Country Club, has already made great progress in terms of golf records. Golf players Rickie Fowler and Xander Schauffele have already picked up the game at the 2023 US Open. Rickie Fowler created history by breaking 128 years old records as he scored brilliantly. He held to his solo position for twenty-two minutes before Xander Shauffele shot under 62 an eight. Both Fowler and Shauffele gave brilliant performances on Thursday at the opening round of the US Open.

These new scores, level the scores of Branden Grace, a professional South African golfer who scored such a similar feat at the Open Championship’s round three in 2017. Fowler spoke with journalists after Thursday’s tournament. He stated that it was a great day for him. That he started off to make a good start, scoring 3 out of 10. He further stated that he never thought of the score and was not necessarily trying to do so. In the initial days he said he was not feeling very comfortable and performing well, however things started to look better from the day before.
