The show of Shohei Ohtani moved towards the mound inside the Bronx on the night of Wednesday. The 2-way star of the LA Angels slugged 3 home runs while playing in his two games inside the series with the NY Yankees. Those games gave him his career-best of 28 balls in the MLB.

Shohei Ohtani Couldn’t Perform Well In The Home Stadium Of The Yankees!

The performance of Shohei Ohtani as the pitcher of the LA Angels at the home stadium of the Yankees was not as good as the performance he offered inside the plate. On Wednesday night, in his first inning, Shohei Ohtani got constantly tagged for a total of seven runs. He also capitalized on one hit batsman and four walks. He ended up throwing a total of 41 pitches while striking twenty times.

After he successfully recorded two outs and faced nine batters he got pulled out of his team. Aaron Boone, the manager of the Yankees told the reporters that they have to control the zone of strike on him. Before the start of the game on Wednesday, Aaron Boone also told the same thing to Andy Martino of SNY.

The Angels ended up forfeiting the DH while letting Shohei Ohtani take the strike for himself on Wednesday. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to the fans who have seen the Angels doing this a lot this season. He managed to flow out and batted leadoff while starting the game. This year, he has taken an at-bat before the start of the mound many times. This didn’t look like a very unfamiliar routine for Shohei Ohtani. Finally, Ohtani couldn’t take it anymore and ended up exiting the game leaving the Angels alone.
