Stacey Plaskett, the delegate to the House of Representatives of the United States of America, recently gave out new information concerning the impeachment of Donald Trump, the former president of the United States of America.

She made it known that a few of the GOP Senators contacted her with regard to the case when the second impeachment trial was taking place. Plaskett, a manager for the house impeachment, was privately told by them that she “made the case”, (the second impeachment), against Donald Trump.

Stacey Plaskett mentioned in the interview that there were some Republicans who did not listen to the arguments she placed. They were of the opinion to vote for the acquittal of the former president of the United States of America. This came even after the delegate mentioned Trump’s involvement in the Capitol riot. The violence that ended up killing five people. Stacey Plaskett stated to the host of the interview that some Republicans joined her in the hallway and told her that their vote would go for Trump’s acquittal. This took place after the presentation.

The House impeachment manager further mentioned the option that she provided to the pro-Trump members following what they said. She said that she offered them a solution that would save Donald Trump from getting disqualified from the office in future. Stacey Plaskett made the mention of voting just for conviction and not for a disqualification, to those Senators.

The voting concerning the fate of the former president of the United States of America took place this Saturday. The Senate held him responsible for inciting the Capitol riot through their votes. However, the number fell short by a two-thirds majority. And Trump got acquitted.
