Steve Scalise, the Representative belonging to the Republican Party, refrained from giving a statement on the 2020 Presidential elections. In the said elections, Joe Biden, the current President of the United States of America, won over Donald Trump, the former President of the country. Representative Steve Scalise made it known that he would never stand by the idea that there were no such irregularities with regard to the said elections.
Steve Scalise’s Claims
The incident where the New Orleans-based second-ranking Republican expressed his opinion disregarding the sanctity of the 2020 Presidential election took place on the 10th of October that fell on a Sunday. Steve Scalise proved the fact that he is one of the firm believers who hold the strong view that the current Democratic President won over the former Republican President only because of a massive voter fraud that took place within the White House.
It is to be noted that it has been almost a year since the citizens of America chose their head of the state through elections. The 56-year-old Republican publicly declared that he is in no way willing to acknowledge the fact that President Biden was chosen through a legitimate voting system that took place throughout the country. Steve Scalise did so in front of the national media.
He further endorsed the fact that the result of the 2020 Presidential elections was supposed to be under the certification of the US Congress instead. The Congressman from the state of Louisiana, Steve Scalise, stated that things were already clear right from the beginning on the illegitimacy of President Joe Biden as the American President. He also claimed that the states of the country did not work in accordance with the US Constitution.
