Stimulus Check Update- Claim Your Payment Before It Gets Too Late!

As we all know, the stimulus check payments have been a major part of the American Rescue Act, which was put into law by the President of the United States, Joe Biden. The stimulus payments have a value of $1,400 per adult. The IRS, throughout the entirety of last year, mentioned that it had issued close to 175 million checks with a total worth of around $400 billion. But still, some families are still owed a stimulus payment.

Deadline For Stimulus Check Payment Approaching Soon

While it is true that most of the households have already received their stimulus check payments, it is also true that most of the households need to apply for it before it gets too late. The reason why some households have not yet received their payment, or are receiving extra funds from the government is because of a few reasons. They could have had a baby in 2021, or the families went ahead and added quite a few dependents on their tax returns for 2021.

Other reasons for not yet receiving a stimulus check payment include those individuals and couples who have had an annual income of more than $80,000 and $160,000 respectively, but they earned less than that amount last year as compared to 2020. And the final reason behind them not receiving their payment is that most of the eligible family members who passed away the previous year did not receive their full stimulus payment.

Those who believe that they are owed a stimulus check payment need to file for their tax returns. After this, those who will be deemed eligible will be able to get their payments under the Recovery Rebate Credit Scheme. However, the deadline for this payment is the 18th of April- so one might need to act fast.
