This season’s playoffs surprise package has been the Atlanta Hawks. They continued to do in their first match of the finals series of the East against the Milwaukee Bucks. Trae Young scored the most number of points in his career at 46, as the Bucks were defeated 113-116.

Bucks Could Not Stand Up To Young’s Brilliance

Trae Young also had 11 assists and 7 rebounds for the Hawks. He was helped by John Collins, who recorded 23 points along with 15 rebounds. For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo was the expected star. He scored 34 points, 9 assists, and 12 rebounds. Jrue Holiday came in a close second scoring 33 points, 5 rebounds, and 10 assists. The Bucks still have a lot of time to recover as this was only the first game in a series of seven. The second game will be on Friday in Finserv Forum.

Trae Young has been the outstanding player of the playoffs. He continues to craft masterpieces and cement his place as among the leagues’ best offensive players. Both his playmaking and quickness are bending opposition defenses out of shape. The Bucks were no exception on the night.

However, the game was tight till the last minute. Milwaukee was leading by 7 points with 4 minutes left on the clock. They were in charge comfortably and their victory was ensured. However, the rebounds did not fall in a way that would help them close down the Hawks’ final possessions. And so that game slipped away.

Atlanta had grabbed 5 offensive rebounds during the last 4 minutes. This resulted in 9 points worth of second chances. This proved to be the difference as Milwaukee could only manage 8 compared to Atlanta’s final tally of 18. The major reason behind this disparity was Brook Lopez being taken off early.
