Hundreds of thousands of American citizens would be expecting to receive the stimulus check payments in the summer with the government in the country pushing for one to boost citizens who need a financial boost. This is definitely the second round of stimulus payments which would also form a part of the Essential Employee Premium Pay Program, which was recently passed by the Massachusetts Legislature in December of 2021.

Stimulus Check Payments Coming In The Summer

As it is universally known, the first round of the stimulus check payments saw close to 240,000 people receiving around $500 in March. The second round of the premium payments will definitely help 300,000 low-income, essential workers, who would then be receiving the same amount from the state. As has been reported by The Sun, the Department of Revenue for the state did inform them that the first stimulus payments did go out on the 6th of June. It is being understood that the citizens will be receiving the payments throughout the month.

Now, there also seems to be a question of who would be deemed eligible for the stimulus check payments. It is being understood that the legislature of the State has apparently allocated a sum of $460 million for the stimulus payments. In order to be deemed eligible for the sum of $500, one needs to have filed a tax return for 2021. It is also mentioned that one needs to be a resident of Massachusetts before the 15th of June, 2021, or have lived then between January 1, 2021 and June 15, 2021. In order for one’s application to be accepted, they also need to file their tax return for 2021.

The state will finally consider the applications of those whose household income was kept below 300% of the federal poverty level in 2021. It has been mentioned that they would be receiving the stimulus check payments.
