On Monday, Marvel released the first complete trailer for its Eternals. The movie will be following the seemingly millennium that the main cast has lived on Earth. Their disguises have been many and varied, but influential most of the time.
The Eternals Will Be The Best Look At MCU’s History
Chloe Zao is directing the MCU movie. Chloe had recently won two Oscars for the film Nomadland. The movie will be released in theatres on 5th November.
First off, the Eternals are not humans. Or at least the humans that we currently are. They are more like immortal aliens. However, over their long time, their integration into various cultures on Earth has been perfect. They have also helped humanity quietly progress without any direct interference. However, with the threat of Thanos and Thanos-like beings in Avengers: Endgame, the Eternals have decided to make their presence known to the world.
The majestic, sentimental trailer ends with a positive note. Sprite, played by Lia McHugh, can be heard wondering loudly who the next leader of “that team” will be, as both Iron Man and Steve Rogers are no longer there. In response, Ikaris, played by Richard Madden, says that he has the power to lead them. But the fellow Eternals respond to the statement with laughter, after a brief consideration.
The cast will also see Angelina Jolie (Thena), Don Lee (Gilgamesh), Brian Tyree Henry (Phastos), Lauren Ridloff (Makkari), Salma Hayek (Ajak), Kumail Nanijani (Kingo), Gemma Chan (Sersi), and Barry Keoghan (Druig). Kit Harrington will also feature as Dane Whitman, a human. Dane later becomes the Black Knight according to the comics.
The Eternals is the 26th movie in the MCU. It is also Phase Four’s third film. In 2020, there were no MCU movies, but late 2021 is promising a host of them.
