The movie is likely to be set in a multiverse where elements from the third book of Spider-Man, namely, “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” will be present. The movie will be similar to the previous ones like Avengers: Endgame and is likely to pick up from that culmination point.
The official news of Andrew Garfield or Peter Parker, Alfred Molina or Doctor Octopus, and Kirstein Dunst or Mary Jane Watson was confirmed on Tuesday, December 8 after an official report stating the same was released. It is also possible that along with them, Emma Stone might even return to the Spider-Man set, however that depends on her pregnancy conditions. She was a part of the Garfield-Spiderman movie.
If Marvel is thinking of bringing in Tobey Maguire, there is a possibility that this could result in a combination of all previous Spider-Man franchises.
