Tom Barrack, one of the closest allies of Donald Trump, the former president of the United States of America, got arrested. The incident took place on the 20th of July that fell on a Tuesday. The former Trump advisor was charged due to his illegal ties with international countries. He was involved with the United Arab Emirates and stands accused of trying to put an influence the foreign policies of America. The accused tried to do this during the presidential campaign of 2016.

As per the words of the federal prosecutors, Tom Barrack stands accused of “illegal foreign lobbying.” The 74-year-old former advisor is charred for the role he carried out that went against the laws of America. He acted as one of the agents of the United Arab Emirates. This went on from the year 2016 to April 2018. Not only that but Tom Barrack also faces accusations of obstructing justice in the country as well as producing false statements to the agents of the federal law.
The accused was one of the main figures in the inaugural committee of Donald Trump, the former American President. He had been the chairman. There has been a concern about the presidential transition with regard to the charged conduct, however, until now, it has been proved that it was completely unrelated to the said inaugural festivities. Tom Barrack was not the only person who was charged this week. He was accompanied by two other lawbreakers. They are Matthew Grimes hailing from the state of Colorado and one UAE national, Sultan Rashid Al Malik Alshahhi. As per the details of the charges, the Republican advisor was in regular contact with the senior leadership of the UAE.
