She tweeted that she could not remain a member of the party that at present is controlled by an elitist group of jingoists who were pushed by spineless wokeness.
She further accused the Democrats of racializing each issue and inflaming sentiments against whites. She said they were undermining the freedom of the nation.
Tulsi Gabbard is the first member of the Hindu community to be voted to the House in Hawaii in 2013. She was consequently elected for 4 consecutive terms.
She was particularly against the attempt by her former party to give a racial touch to every issue. She steps down from the party a month ahead of the midterms in November.
She accused the present-day Democrats of being hostile to spiritual people. She also accused the Democrats of demonizing the police while protecting offenders at the cost of law-abiding people.
She also appealed to like-minded former party colleagues. She called upon independent-minded colleagues to join her if they were no longer able to stomach the false wokeness that some ideologues in the party are propagating.

She has also refused to condemn Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has been generally supportive of his visit to the US. she has blasted Biden for misjudging Ukraine and has blasted the president for actively pushing the world to the brink of a nuclear war.
