According to Marc J. Spears of Andscape and Bobby Marks of ESPN, the Portland Trail Blazers and their superstar guard Damian Lillard has agreed to a two-year, $122 million deal extension.
Damian Lillard will earn more than $250 million over the course of the next five seasons after agreeing to a four-year, $176 million contract with the franchise in the summer of 2019. Furthermore, when his contract expires in 2027, his total income will be more than $450 million.

Damian Lillard only made 29 appearances for the Trail Blazers in the 2021–22 season, in part due to injuries. Prior to it, he had never played fewer than 65 games in a season since entering the NBA in 2012. His field goal (FG) rate was 40.2 percent, while his 3-point percentage was 32.4 percent, both career lows.
He last only scored 24 points per game in 2014–15. Jusuf Nurkic, a starting center for the Trail Blazers, agreed to a four-year, $70 million agreement, while Anfernee Simons, a promising young player, agreed to a four-year, $100 million extension. Although Nurkic is not one of the best centers in the NBA right now, he is accustomed to the team’s scheme and is capable of a variety of tasks, such as setting screens and passing in the high post.
Simons is set to take over as the team’s bench captain after demonstrating last season that he could boost his scoring output while maintaining the same efficiency. During the summer, the Trail Blazers signed Gary Payton II as a free agent and traded for Jerami Grant. Josh Hart, who joined the club last season in the trade of C.J. McCollum, and Payton II will provide the squad with excellent back-court and wing defense. A swing forward by trade, Grant possesses a solid defense, particularly on the help defense end. He is able to make up for Nurkic’s deficiencies in this regard.
