Alex Caruso, Lakers Guard, Taken Under Police Custody For Possessing Marijuana

On the night of Tuesday, Alex Caruso, who plays guard for the Los Angeles Lakers was taken into police custody in Texas. He has been charged with illegal possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana. Caruso received a booking from the police at Texas’ A&M University. Caruso received a bond worth $3000, shortly after which he was released from custody.

Alex Caruso’s Time At Lakers Is Coming To An End

He had been allegedly caught with possessing marijuana weighing below two ounces. He also allegedly had drug paraphernalia in his possession at the time of his arrest.

In Texas, possessing marijuana under two ounces is classified as a misdemeanor of B Class. As such, Alex Caruso could have been sent to jail for a maximum of 180 days as well as having to pay a fine worth $2000. Until now, Caruso had to pay a fine worth $552 for the charge of possessing drug paraphernalia. Any more information regarding the incident is yet to be clarified.
