Alex Ovechkin’s 800th Career Goals Filled The Capitals Camp With Joy

Alex Ovechkin

Alex Ovechkin’s lofty professional milestone has lifted the whole team a little high as the player scored his 800th career goals recently.

Being the captain of the team, Alex Ovechkin’s eighteenth. Nineteenth and twentieth goals has brought a lot of joy to the team and their fans as it took his goal tally from 797 to 800 in the match. The Blackhawks of Chicago has tried everything in their possession, but just couldn’t stop the player’s goals galore as they kept coming.

With this incredible feat, Ovechkin become only the third in the history of the national hockey league joining Wayne Gretzky with 894 goals and Gordie Howe with 801 in the club. What makes it even more special is that these are the legends and hall of famers of the game.

Alex Ovechkin Joins The Gretzky in The 800 Goals Club:

Alex Ovechkin’s 3rd goal that brought his tally up to 800 was scored in the third period of the game as it took their lead to four goals, making the scoreboard read seven to three to the disappointment to the Blackhawks.

The crowd at the United Cneter went mad as the arena was shaking with those “Ovi, Ovi” chants for Ovechkin.

Alex Ovechkin was a part of a few interviews coming to the game as the teammates went in the locaker room, and waited patiently for the man of the hour to arrive in his party in there. Later we saw a few glimpses of the party posted by the twitter handle of Washington Capitals where they wrote that the vibes in that locker room was #GR8.

As a matter of fact, the star player of the capitals is currently just two goals too far from crossing hall of famer Howe in the all-time goals’ list of the leagues history. While he has previously crossed Howe scoring his 787th goal against Arizona to become the most goals scorer with one club in NFL history, Howe’s record of scoring 801 goals does not look too secure too.
