Andrew Cuomo, the disgraced ex-governor of New York, recently lashed out at Letitia James, the Attorney General for the state of New York. This came after an announcement that stated that he would not be charged with any allegations of sexual assault.
A spokesperson for the former governor mentioned that with every single passing day, it was turning out to be even more clear that the report of the Attorney general was the fork between gross prosecutorial misconduct as well as a complete abuse of the government powers provided for political purposes. This ferocious rebuttal came after prosecutors in Nassau County concluded that he would not be facing any charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a state trooper all the way back in 2019.
Andrew Cuomo Will Not Be Convicted for Sexual Assault
According to the 168-page report provided by Attorney General Letitia James, Andrew Cuomo had apparently run the palm of his left hand around the stomach of the trooper while pushing his hand back to her hip where she kept her gun. This report followed a stringent five-month non-criminal investigation in the early parts of the year, where around 74,000 pieces of evidence came under investigation and several dozens of people were interviewed.
The state trooper later told investigators that the actions of Andrew Cuomo made her feel entirely violated because he came very close to her chest and her privates at the same time. The statement provided by Acting Nassau County District Attorney Joyce Smith stated that it had concluded its probe into the incident and did not find evidence that could justify the specific alleged actions. However, Smith did find the charges quite troubling and credible.
Andrew Cuomo, on the other hand, stated that the press conference of the Attorney General had proclaimed around 11 different cases of violations of state and federal laws, which in turn ignited the cancel culture.
