Fans can finally see how Ariana Grande as well as Cynthia Enva will look in the movie adaptation of Wicked. Jon M. Chu, the director, posted two still shots from the soon-to-be-released film adaptation. The film will be released in two parts and it will cover the entire popular Broadway musical.
First Look At Ariana Grande
In the Instagram post, shared on Sunday, Chu wrote that the viewers were not informed of the entire story. He then asks about what happens if someone does not follow Alice’s Yellow Brick Road. He wrote “first look” in bold letters with a piece of cheeky information about the film currently being produced in Oz.
In the first picture, viewers can see the 36-year-old Erivo appearing as Elphaba with green skin. She has on a pointy hat and black cloak and is in the process of getting on a broom with her back to the camera. The actress commented on the post using quite a few green hearts, adding that making magic with Chu has been wonderful,
In the second picture, 29-year-old Ariana Grande appears in the attire of Glinda. She is wearing blonde tresses and a bright pink ball gown while climbing a flight of stairs. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were officially cast in the lead roles in November 2001. Jeff Goldblum confirmed his part in the role last month, adding that Erivo and Ariana Grande have been “very good” while acting.
Along with Ariana Grande, Goldblum, and Erivo, 43-year-old Chu tagged other crew and cast members in the pictures. The list included Michelle Yeoh, who has recently won an Oscar and will feature as Madame Marrible. Other names in the cast list include Jonathan Bailer, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, Bowen Young, Brownyn James, Keala Settle, Aaron Teach, and Colin Michael Carmichael.
