The Popular Netflix series, Bridgerton, is all set to return in 2022. Produced by Shonda Rhimes, the show is speculated to be released in March 2022.

The show cast disclosed the information in a video. In the video, the cast members are reading out Lady Whistledown’s paper, containing the release date. 

The show follows the story of various high society families fighting to improve their social standing. Based in 1813 London, we get to see the daughters being courted and getting married. 

In the story, women are oppressed by the patriarchal society. Women have been deemed the weaker sex. Their only responsibility is being married and producing heirs. Racism does not exist in the show.

Bridgerton Season 2 Plot

The popular Netflix show, Bridgerton, is based on Julia Quinn’s novels of the same name. The second season will follow the eldest Bridgerton son. Anthony Bridgerton (played by Jonathan Bailey) is on a path of self-discovery leading to finding his true love. 

Edwin Sharma (played by Charithra Chandran) and Kate (played by Simone Ashley) are the new girls from India. Anthony initially tries to court Edwina. His banter with Kate creates a bond between them that eventually gives rise to various complications. The crafty Featheringtons are blessed with a new heir. Penelope (played by Nicola Coughlan) keeps a secret from everyone close to her. 

Earlier this year, the show signed a contract with Netflix to produce a third and fourth season. A spinoff featuring Queen Charlotte, Violet Bridgerton, and Lady Danbury in their youth, is to be released soon.
