Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer a Juventus player. The Portuguese legend has decided to stage a sensational return to his teenage hunting ground in the PL with Manchester United. On Friday, the EPL giants announced the transfer. The deal is believed to be around €15Mn. There are also potential add-ons worth €8Mn included.

Cristiano Ronaldo Is A Red Devil Once More

Cristiano Ronaldo, now 36, had last played for Manchester United over a decade ago. In 2009, he had left Old Trafford and signed for Real Madrid in a then-record-deal. In 2018, he had left Madrid to join Juventus.

On Twitter, Manchester United’s official account posted a collection of moments from when Cristiano Ronaldo last played for the club. The caption read “Welcome home”. The club’s official statement on their website read that terms have been agreed with Juventus. Only medical, visa, and personal terms remain to be settled.

Cristiano Ronaldo soon posted on Instagram about his love for the Turin club. He said that he had given the club everything, and will love the city till his death. Although Ronaldo did not win the UCL with Juventus, like with United and Real Madrid, he was Serie A’s top scorer for the previous two seasons.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer, a former teammate of Ronaldo and current manager of United, had said that he considered him football’s greatest player. In 2003, Ronaldo gad come from Sporting CP to United. In the 6 seasons after that, he rapidly became a striker to be reckoned with. He also won his first FIFA player of the year award during that stint.

In 2009, Real Madrid paid £80Mn for his signature. But now he will be making a sensational return. Former and present teammates in Portugal and United apparently played a hand in convincing the player to return.
