Georgia, Alaska & Massachusetts Will Payout Direct Stimulus Checks In May

The states of Georgia, Massachusetts, and Alaska have announced to provide residents with stimulus checks as Americans continue to endure high prices due to ongoing inflation. The payments will be carried out via the various relief programs of respective states, with amounts ranging from $250 to $3,284. The residents eligible for the stimulus checks of these states will be receiving payouts in the present month of May.

Georgia has announced stimulus checks worth ranging from $250 to $500 to residents. People eligible for this income tax return, must be a resident and have taxes filed for 2021 and 2022. If one has filed before or on April 18, that individual will receive payments within July 1. Georgia’s surplus budget of $6.6 billion is much credited for the payouts. 

Massachusetts will be sending stimulus checks worth $400 to an estimated 700 needy families under its assured income plan, the Chelsea Eats program. This program prioritizes providing minors, senior citizens who are 65 years and older, and households who do not qualify under any other government schemes. The recipients have been categorized from $200, $300, and $400 depending on the number of members per family.

Alaska To Send Out Stimulus Checks Worth $3,284 

Alaska has announced stimulus checks worth $3,284 per year to residents from the state’s Permanent Fund Dividend from a part of Alaska’s oil earnings. The amount of payment is similar to that of last year’s, merged with an energy aidTo qualify for the payment, recipients must have completed their submission of application for the payment within the deadline of March 31. Must have not been imprisoned or convicted of a crime and have resided in the state for the whole of 2022.
