Kirstie Alley who openly revealed her weight loss process over the years died on Monday at the age of 71. Cancer took away Kirstie Alley from us. However, she was never shy about revealing her weight loss journey publicly. After going through men-related tragedies, the actress sought to go through a journey of weight loss at the age of 53. Alley was quite outspoken about her episodes, empowering and helping casualties on a journey similar to that.

She made an appearance in 2013 on The Wendy Williams Show, where she shared Jenny Craig and her initial weight loss which lasted from 2004 to 2007. However, she eventually gained weight again. She told Wendy Williams, the host of the show that she had been gaining weight and now again she has gone down. What led Kirstie Alley to go through an entire journey of weight loss process was when she attracted the media for the way she looked. She goes on further on The Oprah Winfrey Show where she shared that she never realized how fat she looked.

Determined to lose weight, she joined Jenny Craig as a spokesperson for reducing 75lbs. in 2004 on the project. A year later, Alley introduced Fat Actress- a series. Kirstie Alley used her thickness as a comic element leading it into a book titled How to Lose Your Ass and Regain Your Life: Reluctant Confessions of a Big-Butted Star which contains further details and was released by her the same year. In an interview in 2011, Kirstie Alley narrates to PEOPLE that she was on an eating hoard. She was not quite fond of her appearance and she also says that there is no positivity in being fat.
