How I Met Your Father Shows How Things Have Changed For Barney

How I Met Your Father

Despite the fact that the odds are stacked against it, “How I Met Your Father” is amazing. The sitcom preserves the charm, hijinks, and slightly surreal tone of the original while modernizing it slightly. We have a more diverse cast and more current difficulties, such as the characters truly hurting financially despite living in New York and not having insurance, even while the program explains why they would still spend all of their time at a bar. “How I Met Your Father” is also quietly bringing back the original cast for some fan service but in interesting ways.

How I Met Your Father Season Returns With Barney

Then, there was Robin, who happened to be at a familiar tavern and offered Sophie some advice. Now, the program has reintroduced another character… Barney Stinson.

Instead, in the mid-season finale of “How I Met Your Father,” Barney was eventually brought to justice and given what he deserved — enough electricity to power the whole island of Staten Island. In the two-part mid-season finale, Hilary Duff’s Sophie begins seeing an older man and suspects him of being her father. She flees his house in a panic and collides with a car bearing the registration plate LGNDRY. Neil Patrick Harris’s Barney emerges from the automobile.

He is still his old self, making crude and obscene remarks to Sophie, but we get the impression he is changed or is attempting to change. He begins by apologizing to Sophie, describing himself as a “recovering serial womanizer” and thinking she is someone he slept with wanting vengeance, before detailing some of the hundreds of plots he is carried out over the years. He also claims to be going to counseling.
