Televangelist Joel Osteen held his Sunday Easter service with Kanye West this year. His fans and viewers were very pleased to be part of this Star-studded Easter program. But hold your horses before you take to Twitter. This Easter Special came with a social distancing twist.
In his special called “Hope is Alive”, Osteen virtually led the congregation. The program aired at 9 a.m. and was repeated at 11 a.m. Even a Spanish Easter Special aired at 2 p.m.
Rapper Kanye West had previously joined Osteen for another Sunday Service in November. Like Osteen, he also attended the Service virtually. He was joined by Tyler Perry and Mariah Carey for this star special Easter.
Carey performed a song, “Hero” dedicating it to the frontline warriors during the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Perry tried to give strength and hope to the viewers during this period of crisis. West incorporated his Sunday Choir into the service.
The beautiful and hopeful program can be streamed on multiple sites online. You can stream Osteen’s April 12 service across multiple platforms. He’ll be hosting the “Hope Is Alive” service on the Lakewood website, Facebook, Youtube and SiriusXM radio. You can also stream it on Osteen’s Roku channel and on Apple TV.
