Louisville is one of the finest basketball teams in America. They have had a rich history in the past. The team has won many prizes and is keen to do well in the present season. It seems as if they are right on their track. The team has cruised to their first victory of the season. They went on to win 72-60 against the Southern.

However, it was a hard-fought victory for the Cardinals. They started the match loosely. They trailed at one point in time. Their opponents looked on top and threatened to run away with the game. However, as the game progressed, the Cardinals slowly clawed their way back. Malik Williams starred the night with heavy contributions. However, he did not feature in the team initially. Sydney Curry was given the nod.

Louisville also had an injury scare in the game. Their mainstay of the team Matt Cross dislocated his finger. Let us know more about the incident below.

Louisville Relieved With Matt Cross Injury

Louisville supporters had their heart in the mouth at one point in the game. Halfway into the game, Cross’ ring finger of his right hand got twisted. Initially, no one paid attention. However, the athlete seemed to be in significant agony. On inspection, it was found that the finger has been dislocated in a nasty way. Cross was imminently rushed out of the ground.

The fans feared the worst. They thought Cross might have broken his finger. A broken finger would keep him out of action for a large part of the session. Much to the relief of the crowds, Matt returned to the ground after twenty minutes. He seemed fine with just a heavy strapping on his injured finger. He even assisted Noah Locke with a three-pointer. The win has surely boosted the confidence of Louisville. They will look to keep up the good work in the future.
