The relations between Meghan Markle and the Buckingham Palace continued to sour as she recently accused the royal administration of lying. The statement was made in a clip where she was being interviewed by Oprah Winfrey. It comes immediately before Buckingham Palace reported receiving allegations of Meghan Markle mistreating her assistants.
Buckingham Palace Lied, Says Meghan Markle
In the clip, Meghan admits that she is aware of running the risk of facing the Royal Family’s ire. Still, she decided to continue because she could not continue remaining silent at the lies being spread about her and her husband.
Buckingham Palace has recently released a statement saying that the body will refuse to tolerate any kind of bullying or mistreatment that may take place while working. As such, they intended to look into the allegations made against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The allegations were made in the Times where an assistant to the Duke and Duchess had made such accusations near the end of 2018. The aide had alleged that Meghan had bullied him and others to tears in what had amounted to emotional torture.
The Duke and Duchess denied the claims. Meghan’s spokesperson also stated how hurt the Duchess was at coming to know of these false claims. More so because Meghan Markle had been a victim of bullying as well in her life. Buckingham Palace had also recently announced that the former royals would not be continuing work in any form within the royal household.
The Times allegation is the most recent in a series of developing tension between British Media and the couple. Last month, Prince Harry had told James Corden on his show, how the atmosphere in the royal palace was ‘toxic’. He had continued that he was forced to leave it to ensure a better atmosphere for his family.
