During the long event children and his supporters were holding “Stop Woke” placards. Several State officials and parents gave speeches condemning the woke education system.
Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the Stop Wrongs to Our Kids and Employees Act into law in the Press Conference at Hialeah Gardens. The measure was already challenged in court. The first amendment forbade teachings that state that students or employees that they are innately sexist, racist, or oppressive.
In March, the Stop Woke Act was passed. It limited the teachings of race-related issues in educational institutions or workplaces.
Ron DeSantis Signs Bills Denouncing Disney
Ron DeSantis castigated and criticized the entertainment giant Disney. He said that he was shaken and was concerned as a parent of three children regarding the content of Disney teaching kids about pansexuality.
Ron DeSantis signed another bill subjecting Disney to a state law. The law allowed people to sue Big Tech companies for censorship. This bill was passed after an exemption won by Disney from it last year.
The Governor of Florida confronted a huge backlash just after signing the bill. Complainants from and across the state of Florida filed a suit of law against the Governor. It is claimed by the group that the First and Fourteenth Amendment rights are being violated by the bill. The Northern U.S District Court of Florida registered the case filed by the plaintiffs.
An American Conservative Activist Christopher Ferguson Rufo and Florida Commissioner of Education Richard Corcoran shared their opinions at the Press Conference.
Democrats criticized and denounced the bill. They debated the fact that this was a move of the Republicans to revise history.
