Ryan Seacrest is a veteran in the entertainment industry and has over 3 decades of experience. And he has seen the things that can happen during live TV, the tense ad nerve-wracking situations. He recalls an incident from last year at the Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rocki’ Eve.

The 47-year-old Atlanta native was delivering Jennifer Lopez’s introduction when he suddenly noticed that a commotion and realized that there would be a delay just minutes before the countdown at midnight. Ryan Seacrest had to do an impromptu improvisation.

With the minutes ticking, Seacrest realized that he was close to exhausting his snippets on Jennifer Lopez and was feeling a bit panicky. But the show came on the air just in time.

Ryan Seacrest says he has an unusual issue to deal with, the bitter winter cold. While his brain works fine, he says it affects his speech. And he needs his wits about him given the unpredictable nature of New Year in Times Square.
