The NBA Playoffs are on people’s minds and we have taken this chance to help you learn more about the 2022 season.

It was widely expected that either the Nets or the LA Lakers would advance to the NBA Finals. But the Lakers had their own set of problems, too, and ended themselves peeping in.

However, in order to join Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in the round one of the NBA playoffs, they will have to go via a play-in round. They’ll play the Cavaliers on Tuesday; the loser will go on to face the victor of Hornets vs Hawks.

The Clippers accomplished a near miracle by finishing the season in eighth place and qualifying for the play-in round without their two best players. Minnesota’s Timberwolves are on the rise, so George and his team will have their work cut out for them.

The NBA’s play-in tournament is scheduled for April 12-15. The 12 teams in this year’s tournament bracket won’t get a week to get ready as they did last year. On Saturday, the NBA Playoffs will kick off with Round 1.

NBA Playoffs: The Play-in Tournament

The format of the play-in competition will remain the same as it was last year. To that end, the eighth-ranked club in each conference will face the ninth-ranked team, while the seventh-ranked team in each conference will face the tenth-ranked team.

The victor of the seventh-eighth-seed encounter will advance to play the second-seeded team in the first round. In the event of a loss, the player will face the victor of the match between the ninth and tenth seeds in a sudden death playoff.

The First Round

On Saturday, the NBA Playoffs will begin for real this year.

The Miami Heat’s surprising run to the Eastern Conference Finals this year was a highlight. The victors of Wednesday’s elimination game will be their opponents.

In the 2022 NBA Playoffs, the Boston Celtics will face the team that advances from the match between the Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Despite a number of personnel setbacks, the Chicago Bulls were able to win the sixth spot and face the Milwaukee Bucks, the reigning NBA champions.

The Phoenix Suns finished with the top record in the Western Conference with 64 wins, giving them the edge going into the playoffs. On Wednesday, the Western Conference defending champs will face the victor of the second elimination game.

Memphis faces whomever emerges from the matchup between the Timberwolves and Clippers. The fourth- and fifth-seeded teams, the Dallas Mavericks and the Utah Jazz, will face off. Finally, the Golden State Warriors will face the Denver Nuggets in their first round matchup.
