Tom Brady Shares His Reasons For Looking Forward To Retirement With Oprah Winfrey

Tom Brady discussed with Oprah Winfrey why he looks forward to finally ‘not playing’ football someday. He revealed that he looks forward to a day when the National Football League season doesn’t clash with the holidays.

Tom Brady is now in his 22nd season and making plans for the future when he will not be playing. Tom Brady and Jim Gray were along with Oprah for a long conversation touching upon traditions, turkeys, and touchdowns on their latest SiriusXM podcast.

The duo discussed their Thanksgiving plans. Tom Brady shared how his holidays usually turn out. he said that there is much to be thankful for in Thanksgiving only if you get around 4 hours to have fun.

Tom Brady is widely considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

Tom Brady: Holidays Just Come And Go

But in his case, Thanksgiving usually comes in the middle of the fall season, but he is usually at practice till 1 or 3 p.m. Brady has his lunch at 3:30 p.m. By then he is usually making plans for the next day’s practice. The same thing happens during Christmas.

Tom Brady said that he was looking forward to the day when his football playing days are behind him. He can then look forward to enjoying the holidays in a more normal way with the whole family together like he did when he was growing up. This year his parents are coming.  

Oprah asked Brady about his eating plans for Thanksgiving. He replied that it would be a normal one. There will be one big item and they would all go for it.

Brady is married to a Brazilian supermodel, Gisele Bundchen, and they have an 11-year-old son, Tom, and an 8-year-old daughter, Vivian.
