Vanna White Stretches Wheel Of Fortune Contract

Vanna White

Vanna White, the co-host of Wheels of Fortune has extended her ties for two more years. She will stay on through 2026 even as the game show bids goodbye to longtime host Pat Sajak. The news has made incoming host Ryan Seacrest happy. Sony Pictures Television announces that Vanna White will continue revealing letters on the puzzle board of Wheel of Fortune. Reports had earlier surfaced around June that she wanted a raise. She has been a co-host with Sajak since the game show went on air in 1983.

Earlier Sajak had announced his departure in June after the 41st season of the show. Wheels of Fortune has begun on air for a week this season. Sony revealed that Sajak would be replaced by Ryan Seacrest. Sajak’s departure would have normally meant the end of Vanna White’s contract. But the extension means that she remains for another two seasons. She will continue to flip the letters on the popular wordplay game as it passes through a transition next season with Sajak on his final spin and Ryan Seacrest adjusting to his new role.

Vanna White Cohosted The Show For Over 40 Years

White’s long-time cohost had announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he would retire after the present season. He said that the 41st season, starting September would be his last. The famous duo of Vanna White and Sajak have co-hosted the iconic Emmy-winner for over 4 decades. They stand as two of the longest-serving hosts ever in the game show category on television.

For over 7,000 episodes, Vanna White has turned the letters on the board while contestants tried to guess the word puzzles. She was noted for never wearing the same outfit twice. Seacrest says he was excited to work with Vanna White and congratulated her, now that it was official. White will be missing 5 episodes of the syndicated show for personal reasons.
