The trailer of Aquaman 2 comes hot on the heels of its first teaser. It brings back Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, otherwise known as the King of Atlantis. Or as the name that he is instantly recognizable, Aquaman. In the first trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Director James Wan lets loose the first glimpses of his subaqueous superhuman sequel. And there is a change in Mamoa’s character. In the opening lines of the trailer, he mutters that he is a changed man now, a husband and a father, and he prefers it that way.
The earlier version of Aquaman 2 was released 5 years ago. It first got us a glimpse of the half-Atlantean, half-human superhero. And Arthur Curry returns in the much-awaited sequel, Aquaman 2. There are a few changes, notably his promotion to fatherhood and his ascension to the throne of Atlantis. And finally, it is all about pitching for another round of battle with Black Manta, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen. And for those unaware of it, he now possesses the mythical Black Trident. And it unleashes multiple forms of primeval malevolence.
Amber Heard Is Back In Aquaman 2 As Queen Mera
The pulse-pounding first round of the sequel trailers reveals Aquaman in battle with the horrors lurking in the deep. He attempts to form an unholy alliance with Orm, his detained brother, played by Patrick Wilson. He prepares for a full-fledged confrontation as he pursues to unite the inhabitants of the Seven Kingdoms in the fight against a common foe.
Though there has been much rumor in the runup to Aquaman 2, Amber Heard has been confirmed to return to Aquaman 2 as the Atlantean Queen Mera. The character of Momoa is a father to a child he had with Queen Mera. Willem Dafoe, Temuera Morrison, Dolph Lundgren, and Nicole Kidman also reprise roles from the first installment. Randall Park has a more wholesome part in the sequel, having landed a cameo part in the first installment as Dr. Stephen Shin. Aquaman 2 is set to release on December 20.
