Caleb Kennedy, one of the contestants of the singing competition, American Idol, is out of the show. As per the sources, it was stated that the episode that will be aired this Sunday, will have a total of 4 contestants. One of them will be eliminated from them. With Caleb Kennedy, there were supposed to be 5 contestants.

Caleb Kennedy Accused Of Being A White Supremacist

The departure of the native of South Carolina originated from one of the videos that went viral. The video reveals the contestant with a group of friends. Among them, one can be seen wearing a white-colored hood. The hood is extremely similar to that of the members belonging to the white supremacist community, the Ku Klux Klan.

Following the incident, Caleb Kennedy took to the social media platform, Instagram, to address the issue. In his post, he stated that the actions that were displayed in the video were not intended. The 5th contestant of American Idol further wrote that he had no idea about the significance of the content of the video because he was not mature enough. Although he did state the fact that being young is not an excuse. The South Carolina singer further apologized to all of his fans and the people who got offended by his actions.

The 16-year-old Caleb Kennedy also mentioned his plan of staying away from social media for some time. He stated that he will be using the break as a time to improve himself. He also acknowledges the fact that his actions have led people to disrespect him. Anita Guy, the mother of the singer, sided with her son saying that everything was a misunderstanding. She stated that he has nothing to do with the hate-driven community.
