Collin Morikawa showcased a brilliant performance to win the golf tournament. He has a satisfied look on his face as he made his way to be the champion. The tournament was attended by an in-house crowd. They all cheered in unison when the golfer rallied past others. This win marks the beginning of a promising career. 

Collin Morikawa Wins His Second Major Golf Tournament

The golfer first won his title just about a year back. However, it was not attended by crowds. He played in an empty stadium back then. But this time, things were much different. As Morikawa edged past all the others, he was greeted by loud cheers. The cheers came from all over the arena.

Morikawa had a tie after the completion of Four Holes. He made a strong comeback to score birdies for the 7th & 9th holes to take the lead. His last 30+ holes were flawless without a single bogey. 

Collin Morikawa expressed his joy after achieving the feat. He stated that he found it hard to believe that he was part of history. The involvement of the crowd was something that made him happy. He also emphasized the fact that he needs to stay focused. He expressed his desire to keep up the good work and win more trophies. 

Collin Morikawa has now won both of his majors as a debutante. This embedded his name in history books. Morikawa becomes the first golfer to achieve this feat. He expressed his joy by pumping his fist towards the crowd. The win makes him only the eighth athlete to win 2 majors within 25years of age.
