Joel Greenberg, the ally of GOP congressman Matt Gaetz, has pleaded guilty of being involved in sex trafficking minors and other charges. This will be a big potential aid to prosecutors who are conducting a connected investigation that involves Gaetz.

Matt Gaetz Is Running Out Of Time

Joel Greenberg was formerly a tax collector in Florida. On Monday, he turned up to court and admitted that he had introduced an underage individual to adult males who then engaged in sexual acts commercially. The plea agreement was filed on 14th May. The others’ names were withheld.

The former tax chief of Seminole County has also admitted to five more felonies. These include wire fraud and identity theft of an aggravated nature. The agreement will write off 27 additional counts against Greenberg. In exchange, Greenberg will co-operate with the Justice Department of the United States in the prosecution and investigation of other people. He will also testify in connected hearings.

Matt Gaetz’s name did not feature in the filed court documents. Currently, he faces no charges and has kept denying all allegations that have been raised against him. Matt Gaetz was a strong ally to Donald Trump, the former president.

He is reportedly under the attention of an investigation being conducted by the Justice Department. Gaetz was reportedly in a relationship involving a girl of 17 years of age. He also allegedly federal laws on sex trafficking by paying the girl so that she can accompany him on his travels.

The Ethics Committee of the House is also investigating if Matt Gaetz had engaged in illegal drug usage and/or sexual misconduct. They have also alleged that he had shared “inappropriate” videos and images on the House Floor. Another point of investigation is the misuse of identification records of the state and if he used campaign funds for personal expenses.
