The statement of Matthew Dowd was given on the 29th of September that fell on a Wednesday. It is to be noted that the said midterm elections will take place in the year 2022. He also stated that he will be representing the Democratic Party. Although the former strategist has never come out in favor of any political party before, it is obvious that he is not a Republican.

This conclusion can be drawn from the fact that Matthew Dowd has always been in the fight against the Republicans and especially those who are closely associated with Donald President, the former President of the Republican Party.

The strategist not only split with the former President but with the GOP as well. Not very long ago, he criticized Patrick. He claimed that he could have handled the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in a much better way in the state of Texas.
