Slim Jxmmi, a rapper with Rae Sremmurd, was jailed after reportedly assaulting his child’s mother.
According to an arrest report acquired by NBC Miami, the artist, born Aaquil Brown, was detained and convicted with one count of violence following an altercation early Tuesday morning.

Slim Jxmmi, 30, is being detained on a $1,500 bail at Miami’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to prisoner records.
According to the allegation, Slim Jxmmi and his child’s mother got into an altercation about a lady the rapper followed on social media.
Slim Jxmmi fled their flat when the victim confronted the rapper, telling her he was heading to the gym. According to the complaint, he subsequently returned home smelling of alcohol.
According to the complaint, the victim stated that her argument with Slim Jxmmi became violent when she requested him to assist her in moving a playpen in which their child was resting. When Brown refused to assist, she proceeded to take their infant into another room, after which she claims Slim Jxmmi ripped her hair extensions out, according to the complaint.
According to the complaint, the woman began to videotape the alleged attack on her phone and transmitted it to a friend. Brown pursued her down, attempting to seize her phone. She retreated behind a bedroom door, which he then reportedly kicked down, according to the complaint.
Brown allegedly snatched the victim’s phone and flung it over a balcony, stating it would “destroy his fame,” according to the report. At about 5 a.m., police were summoned to the location, where he was detained and incarcerated.
Brown is most recognized for his work as part of the rap group Rae Sremmurd, which he created with his brother Swae Lee. The duo has published three albums, the most recent of which, SR3MM, was released in 2018.
