Netflix announced one of their most-watched series is coming back next season. Tudum declared Squid Game S2 has engaged more fellows to their cast. Thus more fun, more thrill, and more death. Four new members were added to the cast. The tentative date of the release has yet to be revealed. However, they did mention it will return in 2024.

All newly added cast are men. Many fans have asked why they haven’t cast any female members. Squid Game season 1 was released back in 2021. HoYeon Jung appeared in season 1. And her character was a hit. Many have questioned why the director and producers didn’t recruit female members. Squid Game S2 hasn’t started its shooting yet. However, it may be back with a much more thrilling and twisting game in 2024. The date of the release of the trailer hasn’t been announced yet.
The first time it was released on Netflix in 2021. Immediately it gathered 1.68 billion viewing hours within 28 days. It remains the most-watched series ever after Stranger Things season 4 last year. Squid Game S2 is the highly anticipated one to be a blockbuster again.
Last time it reached 111 million Netflix accounts, making it the highest-streamed series. Squid Game season 1 was nominated for a bunch of Emmys. Including six wins. It was nominated for 14 Emmys last year. The best actor award went to Lee Jung Jae. He is the first Asian actor to win in that category. Sadly fans have to wait a few more months for Squid Game S2 to arrive.
